If you're looking for a compelling, intriguing drama, Square Enix might have you covered next year.
The publisher has offered new details along with an announcement trailer for their 2014 action/adventure title, Murdered: Soul Suspect . The trailer showcases the main character, Ronan O'Connor, a detective with a hazy past.
It's an interesting concept- Ronan is killed by a faceless individual and then, ala "Ghost," he gets stuck in limbo. It's the world of Dusk and he must remain there until he brings his killer to justice in the afterlife. O'Connor can't speak with detectives working on his case in real life, so he has to "read the minds of the living" and influence their thoughts and actions via supernatural abilities.
The game is set in Salem, Massachusetts, the infamous home of the Salem witch trials in the late 17th century. Ronan will even question the ghosts of Salem to learn more about his killer. Right now, Murdered: Soul Suspect is only confirmed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, although we're betting it'll also come to next-gen platforms as well.
