Check Out The Massive Grand Theft Auto V Collector’s Edition

Grand Theft Auto V will be on store shelves in North America on September 17. And you know you're psyched.

If you're a big enough GTA fan, you might want to pre-order the upcoming Collector's Edition, which Rockstar has just announced today. Just remember that the package will be exclusive to GameStop.

The Collector's package features a collectible SteelBook with exclusive artwork, along with the following:

— A Grand Theft Auto V security deposit bag with Rockstar Games logo key – unavailable for purchase anywhere else!

— A Grand Theft Auto V New Era 9FIFTY™ cap with an embroidered Los Santos logo on the front, a stitched Rockstar Games logo on the wearer’s left side, a Grand Theft Auto ‘V’ logo applique on the opposite side, and snapback closure for an adjustable fit – also available exclusively in the Collector’s Edition!

— A 21.5’’ X 26.75" map displaying a blueprint view of Los Santos and Blaine County.

— An in-game special ability boost which allows Michael, Franklin and Trevor’s special ability bar to generate 25% faster.

— In-game single-player stunt plane trials that let players take on additional aerial challenges.

— In-game additional weapons: the Pistol .50, Bullpup Shotgun and melee Hammer.

— Unique vehicles and a garage property to store custom vehicles. In single-player, the garage will be stocked with the 1930’s style Hotknife hotrod and the CarbonRS sports bike. In Grand Theft Auto Online, players will get the high-end Khamelion electric car.

— In-game bonus outfits, tattoos and more.

— Custom Characters for Grand Theft Auto Online.

Starting today, those who pre-order the Collector's Edition, Special Edition or standard version of the game at GameStop will also receive the Atomic Blimp in-game vehicle. Yep, you'll be able to fly a blimp around Los Santos, which oughta prove entertaining. The massive Grand Theft Auto V Collector's Edition will retail for $149.99. The Special Edition will go for $79.99 and of course, the regular copy will be $59.99.

..or you could save 80 bucks and just set that picture of that neat stuff as a Desktop background image. It's digital. It goes with you on your phone or tablet as well.

As much as i love GTA there is nothing is those editions that i care, im sure you can get those bonus doing some side missions, so the $60 edition is for me.

I was kind of expecting…a better Special Edition. I don't wear hats and the other stuff doesn't really interest me so i'll have to get the regular edition. Hopefully they don't sell the pre-order content later on for 2.99 like some people do.

I got the deluxe edition of IV, and while I found use for the duffel bag and lock box, none of the stuff included with these editions interests me enough to justify the difference in price. The game will provide enough entertainment for me.

Mt wife doesn't generally give me a hard time about being a gamer, but when it dawned on her that we'd spent $200 on Bioshock Infinite (Game, guide and taxes) she just gave me this LOOK. I'm tempted to go with this but it'd me a little hard to explain why we need to spend the money.

So, the game itself is a $60 purchase, while the CE is $150? What the heck in the collectors edition justifies the 2.5x price tag??? A friend and I were really looking forward to what Rockstar was going to put out for a CE, but this just comes across as a ripoff at that price.

Nah, I got hosed last time with the GTAIV "Collector's Edition", a crappy security box, an incomplete soundtrack and a booklet with some art I could've downloaded from the web.

Not this time, R*.

That steel safety deposit box and duffel bag was worth the extra $40 for the Special Edition of GTA IV, and was a hell of a lot better deal than the garbage that is being offered for the Collector's Edition of GTA V.

eh.
what happened to the good old days where collectors editions only included physical rare items, hence the name COLLECTORS!
just a hunch, but the hat and bag aint really going to be what you call collectors items…….
no art book, no making of documentary, no 3D life replica of a item from the game, no autographs from the dev team, no real items of any value!
some "collectors" edition!!!!!

eh, at least there consistent.
every time they talk about this game they end up disappointing me and filling me with even more doubt.
so why stop now?
