It's about time the iconic yellow dot-eater and ghost-survivor had a triumphant return!
Namco Bandai Games America Inc. has announced that in short, the Pac is back! Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures will arrive in North America and Latin America this fall. It'll be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. A special side-scrolling version will also come to the Nintendo 3DS.
This new Pac effort "follows the exciting storylnie and charming characters" from the upcoming animated series created and produced by Avi Arad, acclaimed director and founder of Marvel Studios. That series will kick off on Disney XD, and the game is centered in the vibrant universe of Pac-World, where everyone lived in peace until the mischievous Netherworld ghosts showed up. So it's once again up to Pac-Man to save the day! Said Namco Bandai Games America Vice President of Marketing and Digital Sales Carlson Choi:
"The PAC-MAN franchise has touched millions of gamers and non-gamers since its humble beginnings more than 30 years ago. With its long-standing history, PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures emerges as a new and reimagined PAC-MAN universe that still retains classic gameplay elements that will appeal to a whole new generation of gamers."

Hahaha. Looks awesome!
It looks so bizarre to see Pac Man in an action-adventure game like this. I suppose if it bombs, I can always fall back to the Championship Edition. So much insanity in that game!
