Ben-DutkaIf you didn't already know, Fuse offers four-player cooperative gameplay. That is, in fact, the focus of the new IP.
In turn, this has caused many gamers to question the quality of the single-player experience, which has always been Insomniac's bread and butter. Ratchet & Clank and Resistance provided us with excellent campaigns. Now, Fuse comes along and it seems to be all about multiplayer.
But wait just a minute. During our roundtable discussion with Insomniac Games boss Ted Price, we learn that the team was on top of this conundrum from the start. Said Price:
"We focused on this very early on in development. We knew we had to do more than just make a co-op multiplayer gamer. people needed to have fun with the single-player campaign. Those games that are multiplayer-oriented, they don't often deliver a very good single-player experience, so we had to create bots that would be smart and basically act like a human. Of course, they can't be exactly like humans but they'll help you when you're in trouble, and when you do something really dumb, they'll come to your aid.
I play solo a lot (in testing the game and everything) and it's really gratifying to see bots playing as your friend might play. They play great support roles without being frustrating at all. I feel confident that people who want a really fun solo experience will enjoy Fuse."
Price added that the story is reason alone to play the campaign, as it has plenty of twists and turns, and you visit multiple exotic locations. You even end up in space toward the end of the game! If you haven't already, try the demo, because this one really is very entertaining, and both the single-player and co-op action should be well worth your time.

The demo was very good and i just might pick this one up.
I couldn't finish the demo, it was so generic and, uncharacteristically of Insomniac, outdated and visually cheap.
I nearly shut it off after 3-4min but I stuck to it. I think it's better playing and more tactical than something like Gears.
I haven't tried the demo. The first trailer I saw for this had that Insomniac comedic flair, but ever since it was rebranded as Fuse, they only emphasize the action. Is there still comedy in the game? The comedy is the only reason I'd buy it.
Hhehe, seeing this story stacked on top of Cage's today is quite the contrast. Here's FUSE being that cliche-what the people want-sort of title.
The demo was fun. They bring in a few neat ideas. But ultimately, it wasn't anything substantial or original. So a pass for me.
Insomniac should have stayed exclusive. I didn't like the demo at all.

Would have rather played Overstrike than this generic feeling TPS. Binary Domain was the last excellent TPS I played and it did just so many things right. This well I played the demo and didn't really care for it.
I tried the demo but couldn't finish it, imo it was awful and just too generic for me. Maybe it's just that I'm burned out on the genre but it was most definitely not an entertaining demo. If it had some of the humor from what we seen of 'Overstrike' it would of helped but it wouldn't of saved it. In the short time I played the demo I found the friendly AI quite bad. The game needs full human teams, the AI just wasn't good enough. I seriously doubt this game will sell based off that demo.
So does it have LOCAL Co-op or just online co-op? I haven't been able to find an answer to this burning question. Please PSX community! Help me!
I could understand the whole "generic" thing people say about Fuse..but the demo alone is sooo fun ^_^
i quite enjoyed the demo so i definitely will be picking it up.
only bad bit of the demo was the choice of weapons, insomniac is famous for creating really cool quirky creative weapons so what happened to them?
i wish insomniac would create a mercenaries type game next.
they would be the perfect suit to it!
such a shame pandemic had to go the way of the dodo.
perhaps insomniac can now pick up where they left off.
