Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Director Looking To Make A Sequel

If you're a fan of the retro awesomeness of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon , you probably want a sequel.

And according to voice actor Michael Biehn, the game's director wants that, too. During a Major Nelson Radio podcast interview with Biehn (as cited by VideoGamer.com ), creative director Dean Evans is interested in a follow-up effort:

"He was going into a meeting today, to you know–I think he wants to turn it into some sort of franchise. He’s got a sequel in mind."

If you weren't aware, Blood Dragon is a spin-off of last year's critically acclaimed Far Cry 3 . The gameplay is similar but the environment and styling is completely different, as we're looking at an 80s sci-fi cheeseball extravaganza, kinda like Duke Nukem . If you haven't played it yet, it could be worth your while…stay tuned for our review, which should go up early this week.  Should be great fun!

If they had made Aliens Colonial Marines in this same format, it would have probably turned out to be a better game!

A sequel would be fun!

how would a sequel work with this? Take Farcry 4 and do this again or just start a whole new series?

I really want to play this but have so much on my plate I might wait for a PS+ discount, do you other fans of 80's cheese enjoy it?

If it's good I hope it does become a franchise of it's own, separate from FC3.

i'm new to the "80s sci-fi cheeseball" style.
i'm having trouble, "getting into it" which has nothing to
do with the game, just me.

but the little time i've spent playing fc3 bd, i've enjoyed every
minute of it and no regrets from buying it.

You kind of have to have grown up then or at least enjoy the movies from that era.
