If Level-5 is working on a new project, millions of gamers are immediately interested.
So although we don't have any official details, it's interesting to note three new trademarks registered by the Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch developer. What do they mean?
According to Siliconera , the new trademarks are Rare Drop Adventurer Note, Earth Devastating B-rank Girlfriend, and Wonderflick. Yeah, there's probably some translation wonkiness going on there, but could this mean a new project, possibly for the PS4? That might be a pipe dream; the new project could be for handhelds, or it might not even relate to a video game. Who knows? And if the trademarks are for a new game, are we looking at multiple titles, or just one? Might we see an announcement some time soon?
Well, you can't really expect a sequel to Ni no Kuni , as critically revered as it was. It seems more likely that Level-5 will produce a new IP of some kind…and we just heard every JRPG fanatic around the world squeal with excitement. If you're one of 'em, just admit it.
Thought I heard something about a White Knight Chronicles III somewhere.
But "Earth Devastating B-rank Girlfriend" sounds great!
A 3rd wkc? Even just a possibility of such a game is awesome.
I was very sad to hear that l5 is shutting down the servers. Bummed me out.
I'm hoping that these l5 games are just as awesome or even just reminiscent of wicked.
Btw, amazing pic dude.
Assuming any of these end up with a translation, I'd be interested to see what their actual English titles are.
I don't really know what happened, but I'm just not enjoying JRPGs like I used to. Although I'll admit that there are still a couple I'm interested in trying (the Atelier series and Valkyria Chronicles specifically), I have either not enjoyed or not been interested in any JRPG since Lost Odyssey.
Do yourself a favour and play Valkyria chronicles. It is such a gem I can't even put it into words.
The combat is really fun and tactical, graphics are amazing and the story is really really good.
Easily up there as one of my favourite PS3 exclusives.
Yeah, I've been meaning to for a couple of years now, but never seem to get around to it. One of these days….
