Ben-DutkaClassic Final Fantasy games are memorable for multiple reasons. For many, the music is one of those reasons.
Square Enix plans to go all retro and release three Remaster Version soundtrack CDs from old-school FF titles. According to Siliconera , Final Fantasy IV is first on the list.
The FFIV Remaster will be available in Japan on July 3, and it will boast remastered Super Famicom ditties such as "The Red Wings," "The Theme of Love," and "Battle with Golbez's Four Fiends." First-run copies will even include a Yoshitaka Amano cover illustration. Later this year, we can expect the Remaster soundtracks for FFV and FFVI, the latter of which is bound to be the most popular. Even after all these years, I can probably recognize most of the songs from FFVI without too much trouble.
You probably won't see any of these soundtracks in North America, but you can always purchase them from an importer like CDJapan . And the hardcore just might. Or, these Remasters might become available digitally at some point, so that's another option.
No remastered FFVII soundtrack? Lame!
Very interesting would this be the full soundtrack or just a select few tracks? I own Final Fantasy VII & IX's OST and would very much like to get Final Fantasy VI – so if this is the full version remastered count me in.
SE music is some of the best in the biz. Final Fantasy Tactics is my all time fav soundtrack. The music really enhanced that game 1000 fold. (Note: One of the composers of the FFT soundtrack also made the Odinsphere soundtrack, which is just as goog as FFT. Odinsphere has the best theme song ever).
Chrono Cross soundtrack is out of this world. If you find the REAL ending you get the greatest End Song ever, RADICAL DREAMERS.
The arranged version of FF 7's One Winged Angel is the greatest boss piece ever. The best version I found was on an assorted album called "Final Fantasy S Generation", which many of the best musical pieces from FF 7-9, maybe 10, cant remember is on.
Final Fantasy N Generation soundtrack has some remastered music from FF1-6. This has great remastered music, especially a remake of the opera song from FF 6 that will bring tears to your eyes. Not mine, thank you very much, cuz I am a Celt and I do not cry, so Ben cries for me!

I would even accept a resolution upgrade of the PSP version – it looked superb.
