Oh for the love of…just announce it already!
Activision has already confirmed that we'll see a new Call of Duty installment this year (which was the shock of shocks, let me tell you). And we also have ample evidence to support the theory that Infinity Ward is going to produce Call of Duty: Ghosts .
Thankfully, all of that may graduate from "rumor" to "truth" this week; May 1, to be exact. According to leaked GameStop material (via IGN ), Activision may indeed officially reveal this year's CoD on May 1. The publisher won't comment on rumors, of course, but this makes sense: Last year's Black Ops II was also announced on the first of May during the NBA Playoffs on TNT. Maybe that worked out so well before, they're gonna do it again.
So who's excited? C'mon be honest.
Question: why does a yearly game need an announcement?
Answer: To confirm it really is coming this year.
Yearly doesn't imply forever, the series will eventually come to an end.
Nas, do you really think CoD won't last forever?
K, well technically, nothing lasts forever, but like Mario is to Nintendo, I doubt we'll be seeing the end of CoD anytime soon.
It won't stop in the midst of its success.
*SURPRISE!!!* You never saw it coming!
One game that doesn't need to innovate much and still continue to sell well and score great from critics. Kudos to Activision for having such luxury. I wonder how it'll fare next gen though.

Getting tired of the constant "CoD announcement shock" puns…
I feel you, but only in the sense that I'm tired of seeing CoD announcements every year, when it's pretty much given. We feel each other bro.
Call of Inevitable: Yayyy! (oops! That's "leaked" joy right there)
I'll confirm my joy, after they confirm the release.
Oh, and no comment on rumours about my supposed joy either.
thanks john shepard (y)
🙂
if its only a current gen title than yea that wouldent be a bad time to do it.
but if its releasing on next gen systems, then M$ should be betting the bank and convincing antivision to reveal it at the xboxs reveal.
nothings going to get people more excited than a new console, and better yet the biggest franchise of all time will be there day 1!
well, most people.
me, id rather play RTS games non stop for the rest of my life than ever play this sh*t ever again!
and thats saying allot because i HATE, no LOATH RTS games!!!!!!!!!
Awe, come on.. RTS isn't that bad… I grew up with C&C: Tiberian Dawn in 97, and have been playing them all ever since (Save C&C4, Beta tested it and it was absolute bunk)
I don't understand why people hate on RTS so much.. AoE, Starcraft, Warcraft, C&C, all those games were great, and a part of my childhood as a PC gamer.
I will agree though, the only time I hate on RTS is when it's a console port. You just can't play those games with a joypad..
I actually am going to go play Tiberian Sun now.. lol thanks for reminding me that I still have that game 🙂
its not that there bad games, its that there not games really.
whole point of a GAME is to DO EVERYTHING yourself.
not go to the shop, select the paint, then wallah magic your whole house is now painted!
just spoils the fun.
exactly why i was so disappointed with the amazing spiderman.
we FINALLY got a awesome open world spiderman game, but it was spoiled by the boring simplistic easy combat system.
i think the human race is advanced enough to manage just a little more than mash this button as fast as you can!
