Many are still hoping for a sequel or reboot of some kind. But in the meantime, maybe you can take solace in a movie.
Yesterday, we found out that an animated "Ratchet & Clank" film was in the works at Blockade Entertainment and Rainmaker Entertainment. And as it turns out, that's not the only video game-related film Blockade is working on…
According to a Variety report , we can also expect a Heavenly Sword big-screen production. It'll be produced by Blockade but it won't enjoy a theatrical release. Basically, it'll be a CG animated movie, which sounds like a good idea. From the time it was launched back in 2007, Ninja Theory's Heavenly Sword didn't receive the acclaim it required in our estimation. Featuring excellent acting and animation (which should translate well to the film), this was one of the first great PS3 exclusives.
And maybe, just maybe, if the movie is wildly successful, someone somewhere might want to try Heavenly Sword 2 .
Related Game(s): Heavenly Sword
Well, it's something! Heavenly Sword is still one of my top PS3 favorites.
Does anyone actually want this? It just seems strange for them to go out of their way to make such a movie when the game wasn't really a hit. If anything it's sales were made purely because it was a launch title alone. I just don't see the value in this…
Me!
Me as well.
And I would buy Heavenly Sword today if it came out in the current late-gen crowd. I think it still holds its own.
I want to see it also, Ben or World can you update us when it releases.
sure thing
I can't wait!
actually very excited, i love Heavenly Sword and im kinda interested to see where they take the story
Awesome, perhaps it will aim to fund Heavenly Sword 2. This one was Ninja Theory's biggest hit to date and still needs to become an actual franchise in the eyes of many PS3 gamers.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Or 2 is being developed now and this is just a way to get everyone excited about Heavenly Sword again.
After Enslaved they need to something.
A main character named "Monkey" C,mon!
Maybe Santa Monica is working on it since Ascension seemed like it was done quick and on the cheap in their basement.
Monkey sort of had to be Monkey since it was based on a story where that character IS a monkey.
Yes Please!
movie, eh, what do we need a movie for?
the ships sailed long ago, heavenly sword is long berried!!!!!!
