Schilling Speaks Out Against Accusations And Says: “100% Baseless”

Despite what the state is alleging, 38 Studios founder Curt Schilling says all of it is "100% baseless."

In a recent New York Times interview , the former Boston Red Sox ace spoke out against the state of Rhode Island's legal action against him and his failed game development company.

He has already asked a judge to dismiss the entire case, even though Rhode Island is now facing $100 million in debt due to the bankruptcy of 38 Studios. Back in November, RI's Economic Development Corporation sued Schilling and other executives of the company for the controversial $75 million loan that brought 38 Studios from Massachusetts to Rhode Island. Things only got worse from there, as the state is now accusing the game company of 17 counts of wrongdoing, including fraud, civil conspiracy, breach of implied covenant of good faith, negligence, unjust enrichment, legal malpractice, fraudulent misrepresentations and omissions, etc.

But as you can see, Schilling doesn't agree with any of that. The question now is- Will he ever take another stab at creating games?

Kingdoms of Amalur is one of the greatest single player rpg adventures I ever played and they have the best dlc. Truly sad the mmo died. The environments was breath taking.

Schilling is a liar, a cutthroat businessman, and most damningly a moron.

No wonder 38 Studios folded.

I find it hard to believe that the charges are 100% baseless, if they were then the case(s) would most likely have been thrown out by now. So using that as a basis I believe they have something on him and 38 Studios, otherwise they are wasting RI's tax dollars on a losing case, which to me would be worse then what 38 Studios is accused of.

Well, unfortunatley some "men" think it is all about chasing the Benjamins and lose sight of how a company should be run.

I also find that 100 percent baseless is a dumb statement, agree with Rogueagent01.
