But at least now it's official. Ubisoft has confirmed that their Montreal studio is indeed working on Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon , which will be available for download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on May 1.
This spin-off features about eight hours of original content, as there's one open-world island to explore, which will allow you to participate in hunting, the location of collectibles, and the liberation of outposts. Basically, it'll be very similar to what you experienced in last year's critically acclaimed Far Cry 3 , which, by the way, you needn't have played to enjoy Blood Dragon . However, while the mechanics are similar, the setting most certainly is not ; we get that 80s-themed, totally cornball, cheesy futuristic backdrop that we've already seen.
Man, this game so reminds me of cartoons in the 80s.

This just looked awesome, i hope they throw in some awesome 80's music. By the way, far cry 3 has one of the best soundtracks ive heard in awhile. Even the dubstep is good and i don't even like dubstep.
The PS Blog gives the release date as April 30.
