Ben-DutkaIt's time to drool all over more Grand Theft Auto V screenshots.
Rockstar has released 10 new images for the upcoming blockbuster, and they show off everything from the Los Santos cityscape to high-flying action.
We've posted up two here so you can have a peek; click through the link to see them all. The cool part is that each of GTAV's three protagonists can be found in at least one of the new screenshots: Franklin is toting a freakin' minigun, Trevor is trying to outrun some bad guys on a motorcycle, and Michael is standing in front of a car, looking all dejected. In addition, we've got some beautiful images of our surroundings, including a sun-swept valley with a sparkling river, the docks with a lightning strike in the background, and some skyscrapers at dawn (or dusk).
We also see examples of the many diverse activities in which we'll participate. There's scuba diving, skydiving, and (possibly) flying a helicopter. There will be just so much to do ! Grand Theft Auto V is set to launch on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17. Not far now!
I still say they should release it for next-gen consoles, too, damnit.

i think they wont release it for ps4 til after a ton of people have bought it for ps3. that way when ps4 does come out then they can say it is going to be on there and people will buy it again.
Okay Rockstar… please take my money NOW. Really can't wait for this game!
And frylock… I can actually see that happening. I'm getting it on PS3, but if it does migrate to PS4 then I'll get rid of my PS3 copy and get it on PS4 for sure!
Not a big fan of GTA. Loved Vice City.
I am an 80's fan but GTAIV sucked hard core for me. Something was missing, to me it was not fun at all.
This does look quite like a new San Andreas which means it will sell millions.
I still can get in to GTAIV. I play for a bit then I have to put it down. Not sure what the big deal was but maybe I have been spoiled with others games. I had to get through RDR and after half way through and it repetitiveness, I had just wanted to finish it and go on to something else. Maybe thats why when I decided to pick up the complete GTAIV edition with all the dlc… RDR may have popped the balloon for me.
AND no I am not saying its a bad game. Its just of a genre I am not awestruck with. Mind you AC 1 and 2 could be argued to be similar and I did love those games.
Maybe I can be converted. I'll give GTAIV a go again. Time… and patience… and enjoy. 🙂

Same thing happened to me, I think it's the cookie cutter mission structure that rinses and repeats, often leaving the player in the lurch.
You should have picked that scuba-dive image instead, Ben! Or that screenshot of the bay – that was so amazing I seriously first thought it was just concept art.
This game *has* to come for the next gen consoles too. They can't release a game like this that close to launch of a new generation without offering a version for those consoles too.

I want this for PS4 but it will be hard to ignore if it sitting there for sale on PS3, beckoning me….laughing….mocking me….Alright I'll but it Day 1 Dang it!
Got a new monster PC. So gonna get it for PC to enjoy it in next gen gfx. Those screenshots look really promising.
I'll buy this for both ps3 and ps4 with no reservation. Two of my favorite games of all time are Vice City and GTA IV. Born in 1980 in New Jersey.
Vice City is light hearted and fun like the 80's were. GTA IV I liked the more realistic tone, because the game looks and feels like NY. My wife (not a gamer) would walk by the TV and know which borough I was in. TBOGT and Luis, Niko, and all of it just feels right. Great game.
Looks astonishing, I wonder if Rockstar found a way to do anything special on the PS3 version to make it better in any way.
I think they should release it with no news of anything, then after Sony and MS drop their boxes they should announce a next gen ultimate edition with all DLC and new content. Another one-two punch, BAM!
