The video game industry certainly isn't immune to the efforts of the low-life creeps out there, and the latest scam involves the hotly anticipated Grand Theft Auto V .
As reported by Fusible , GTA publisher Take-Two Interactive has filed complaints with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) over two sites that claimed to have beta codes for GTAV. GTA5betacode.com, for instance, is a complete website with a Facebook page and YouTube account, and tells users to share the site with their Facebook friends. That will net them a beta code. Unsurprisingly, a great many people have bought into the scam already but thankfully, no money is involved.
But Take-Two isn't happy about it, so they're taking action. For the record, no beta test has been officially announced for Grand Theft Auto V , and nobody has any beta codes, keys, vouchers or whatever else to hand out. Most savvy gamers know this…but not everyone is savvy.

Has there ever been a beta for GTA titles? Doesn't seem like that's something Rock* does.
