Ben-DutkaMore honors and accolades are in the offing for Journey .
Thatgamecompany's stellar title has already earned a great many awards all over the industry, and now the game has received eight nominations for the upcoming British Academy Games Awards 2013.
The PS3 exclusive leads the nomination charge, and you'll also find other top titles listed: The Walking Dead , Borderlands 2 , Far Cry 3 , Mass Effect 3 , Assassin's Creed III , Dishonored , and Halo 4 also got nods in a variety of categories. Journey was also nominated for the overall Best Game category, along with FIFA 13 , Dishonored , Far Cry 3 , The Walking Dead and Mass Effect 3 . Thatgamecompany's gem earned recognition in the Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, Game Design, Game Innovation, Original Music, and Story categories. All well deserved, we say.
The awards will be handed out on March 5. Composer Austin Wintory was recently nominated for a Grammy for the score he created for Journey . He lost out to Trent Reznor but hey, that nomination was something special.
