Michael Keaton Suddenly Makes Need For Speed Better

Honestly, the idea of a "Need for Speed" movie doesn't really do anything for me. Fast cars driving around…and "Fast and Furious 6" out soon. 'yawn'

But really, I'll watch just about anything with Michael Keaton, one of the most underrated actors of my time. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Keaton has joined the cast of the upcoming NFS film, which also stars Aaron Paul and Dominic Cooper.

The story follows a local street-racer (Paul) who teams up with a rich and cocky business partner (Cooper), but trouble ensues. There's a frame-up and the street-racer finds himself in prison; after he gets out, he joins an epic New York-to-Los Angeles race to get revenge. Well, of course, the best way to get revenge is either die or go back to jail. …well, whatever. Anyway, Keaton plays the "reclusive and eccentric host of an underground super car race where he invites the best drivers from around the world." That sounds like good gig for him, I think.

Those of you who are unfamiliar should look up some of Keaton's work besides "Batman" and "Beetlejuice." Seriously.

I really don't understand why they're making a need for speed movie, there's already 5 fast and furious movies.

Yeah, agreed.

Fast and the Furious has already tapped out the street racing movie scene. 'Soon' to be 6 F&F movies is already wayyyyy too much.

How many times are we going to have to watch a movie where someone goes into a life or death race to save their lives.

Supposedly, SUPPOSEDLY, they changed the theme of the fast and the furious. I don't think you guys saw Fast Five since it wasn't that much about racing. But about a heist.

Keaton is great, but I can't believe he signed up for this POS. He must need a good payday, lord knows he hasn't been in much lately…

His role in The Other Guys where he quotes TLC songs makes me laugh. That movie is funny.

That movie was great, I liked when Mark kept saying he made fun of people by learning their stupid stuff like ballerina dancing.

White Noise was underappreciated as a horror movie.

Still the best Batman… but not Bruce Wayne.(Bale took that honor)

And has Keaton ever been the bad guy? He looks like he could be a really good really bad guy.

"Extreme Measures" is another one where he plays a really effective villain. I think that was the name of the movie, anyway.
