Critics said the first movie in 2007 totally sucked but that didn't stop it from raking in over $100 million.
Therefore, as reported by Deadline , Fox International Productions has given the go to a "Hitman" reboot called "Agent 47." The big difference is that instead of Timothy Olyphant ("I Am Number Four," "Justified") playing the bald assassin, it's going to be Paul Walker ("Fast and the Furious," "Timeline").
The scribe who penned the first script, Skip Woods, will once again write the story for the movie, and Aleksander Bach is on board to direct. It's a little unsettling to know that this will be his big-screen debut; up until this point, he has only directed commercials. The film is essentially a reboot and it'll be shot in Berlin and Singapore this summer, not long after Walker finishes up with "Fast and Furious 6." Charles Gordon ("Die Hard," "Alex Young (The A-Team)") and Adrian Askarieh ("Hitman") will produce, while Daniel Alter ("The Apparition") will be the executive producer.
Anybody holding out hope for a good movie?
Lame, he's no good for the part.
I like some Paul Walker movies, but I have to agree, he's totally wrong for the part.
Paul Walker is way too gorgeous to play Hitman!!! Personally I don't see why there trying to do another one I didnt even bother to watch the first one.
Paul Walker? Well… he isn't great at showing emotion very often, which is actually a good thing in this case. Maybe it can be ok?
I really like Paul Walker and Fast 5 was sweet but Timothy Oliphant is an incredible actor. To bad they couldn't get him to reprise his role. I really liked Hitman.
I read somewhere that Olyphant only did the first hitman because the TV show he was in got cancelled suddenly and he had to pay for his new house.
A bald Paul Walker? He doesn't have the voice either. Get Stathem!
Not Statham. Dont want this to be a non stop action movie.
Love Statham, but yeah agent 47 never struck me as the martial arts killer.
Statham for inFamous!
Statham's too old for Cole. Aaron Paul or no one at all.
…Heh, that rhymed.
Quick mini argument for Statham: Not all his movie showed off his martial arts prowess. Doesn't the movie Parker showing him doing the whole disguise thing? And there's the intimidation factor he has. Also he has a cool (if accented) sounding voice. But if not him then I suggest Karl Urban. I thought he was great as Judge Dredd in Dredd 3D.
Oh, and I say Sam Worthington for Cole.
yeah he's pretty old but they can do amazing things with makeup, look at Bruce Willis in Surrogates.
Another idea for Cole: Nick Tarabay from Spartacus http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3476861440/nm1479022

I actually thought that the Hitman movie was one of the best video game movies I've seen. I'm not going to go and nominate it for an oscar or anything, but I thought they did a decent job transferring it to film.
Hard to get the gameplay style into a movie so obviously it became an action flick, but honestly compared to other video game movies it was awesome.
This doesn't sound promising at all, I think Paul Walker is going at being Paul Walker, definitely need someone else to lead this movie.
The chick in it was hot.She later became a Bond girl.
then I bopped her
So basically its still gonna suck…
without Timothy Olyphant, fail!
I thought i was the only person who wanted Statham for that role!! It's good to know a few others think the same way. I really cant see Paul Walker for that role Then again, Timothy Olyphant wasn't that bad…
oh lord………
