Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist Of Dusk Lands NA Launch Date

JRPG fans will soon get Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch . But if that's not enough, yet another entry in the popular Atelier series will soon be headed your way.

Today, Tecmo Koei America has announced that Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk will launch for the PlayStation 3 in North America on March 5. Featuring new features, fresh battle system additions, and a brand new storyline and set of characters, franchise followers should be more than satisfied.

Atelier Ayesha follows the story of Ayesha Altugle, a girl who has been living in seclusion in her workshop ever since her grandfather died and her sister went missing. She lives a lonely life, making and selling her medicine. But she decided to try and locate her sister, Nio, so it's time to start off on a rousing adventure. The game also boasts a new Diary System and there is no time restriction for each mission, which is nice. It's also nice to see that true turn-based mechanic return…sometimes I really do pine for that.

A true turn-based mechanic?!

Let the angels rejoice!

The angels brains will explode if this comes to the Vita…

YESSSSS. I hadn't even heard of this one! I still have plenty of playtime left in Meruru (which I thought was the last one).

I might have to fight myself not to buy it on day 1. Ni No Kuni will likely still be taking up my time and then there's Bioshock and Riptide. This year is insane, I can't afford it.

Will this be reviewed here?

Atelier Meruru is the last in that trilogy of games (Rorona, Totori, then Meruru) and I believe this one is in a totally new world with new characters. I hear the Atelier series likes to work in trilogies, every 3 games being something fresh.

sigh.
why is it every single time a niche game like this comes out, it has to release at the fullest time of the year!?
i can see it now, nope we wont bring anymore games out because our last game did not sell well.
well you see mister blind marketing person, thats kinda the thing that happens when you release your small unheard of game up against the industries juggernauts like TOMB RAIDER, BIOSHOCK, CRYSIS, ARMY of TWO GEARS of WAR, GOD OF WAR, ect, ect.
O, and dont forget the rumors that GTAV is releasing in march!

Um are you just an ignorant fool, or trolling? The overlap of people playing games like the ones you mention and something like Atelier Ayesha has to be less than 5% of Ayesha's likely audience. In other words, who the hell cares when a niche game like this is released, it's not like the sheeple buying Gears of War, Army of Two, Crysis, etc… are that interested in it.

So lets see you, mister anoymous marketing genius, explain why there is any reason worry.

NIS America localized this, Tecmo Koei US is doing the publishing. Has anyone noticed how many JRPGs NISA has brought to us this generation? Real JRPGs with turn based mechanics no less. There are a lot of choices for fans of JRPGs thanks to NISA. Don't have to wait for Square Enix or Namco any more.
