Ben-DutkaSo Square Enix is teasing yet another new game with a countdown clock . And we wish we didn't have to be so cynical about it (we'd much rather be excited) but each time, we end up being disappointed.
And we say "each time" because Square Enix does this a lot (as Kotaku comically explains). Unfortunately, most of the announcements don't warrant any countdown clock so our hopes usually rise for nothing.
Anyway, this new teaser site features the word "Star" and offers the clue "liftoff," which can be found in the URL. Some are speculating that it could be a game called "Star Galaxy," which – as reported by Siliconera – was recently trademarked in Japan. Others are thinking it might have something to do with the other recently filed trademark, All The Bravest. Whatever it is, we'll find out on Tuesday, December 11 at 10 p.m. EST.
It could be another entry in the long-running and critically acclaimed Star Ocean franchise. We haven't seen one since The Last Hope , which launched back in March 2009 for the Xbox 360 and a year later on the PS3.
Hmmmm, a coundown and people hyped for a new Star Ocean game… I bet it's a 'Star Ocean: The Last Hope International' port for the Wii-U! Ya know, something no one cares about, that will disappoint fans but Square-Enix will do anyway because it's Square-Enix.
I really hope its Star Ocean because TriAce done three new ips and its time! As for All The Bravest Im praying its Bravely Default with a new name for the west. Most countdowns are let downs with so many platforms.

I'm not really expecting you to take my word for it. But All The Bravest is a 100% Bravely Default.

It also says "Divide" on the right hand side, underneath "Star"? "Star Divide"? A spinoff from Star Ocean?
Maybe a mobile game or something. 🙂

Well they did that Beta for Star Ocean not long ago… it could be…. dare I say Star Ocean V.
To be entirely honest, i don't care. Unless i get some ffvs13 news SE can do whatever they want. I've been waiting almost 6 years now for ffvs13. I watched the trailer yesterday and i swear, it would have been the best game this entire gen. The two characters alone, their story, was enough to draw me in. Sigh…
Star Ocean would be cool though. I haven't played any of the ones on ps3, but i did play the one on ps2. Liked the anime style and the music. Combat was unique and fun.
If it is not KH3 on the PS3, I could care less.
The screenshot and font gives me a space sci-fi vibe.
All of the Bravest sounds like a PSP game, or something. Like all of S-E's lead characters brought together in some fan game.
Wow PSXE crashed hard and killed my lengthy post so I'll just say I really hope it's another Star Ocean.
Please concentrate on FFXIIIvs SE.

Setting hope aside, Star & Galaxy? The picture does gives me that Star Ocean vibe…I seriously hope its not a tease about a Star Ocean port to the WiiU (That would seriously tarnish their rep even more)
If its a new IP and if this is developed by SQ then I`d say its ME-ish since they love to appeal to the western market and hey! If they`re trying to follow the famous gaming trend, it`d be a FPS RPG cross between Borderlands, ME and CoD…
