Sample One Of The Most Anticipated JRPGs This Week

For die-hard JRPG aficionados everywhere, this is the game that likely sits atop their "must-have" list in 2013.

And the best part is that they'll be able to sample it early. Namco Bandai Games and Level-5 have announced that a playable demo for Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will hit the PlayStation Network on December 4 (tomorrow!) in North America and a day later in Europe.

The demo will allow you to battle not one, but two of the game's "most infamous bosses:" Guaridan of the Woods and Moltaan. If you weren't yet familiar (and that's unlikely, especially if you've been following RPG news in 2012), Ni no Kuni is the new JRPG developed by critically acclaimed studio Level-5. It features artwork and cut-scenes courtesy of the iconic Japanese animation company, Studio Ghibli, along with music from world-renowned composer Joe Hisaishi. The gameplay itself isn't purely old-school turn-based but at least it's partially turn-based, which is more than can be said for most RPGs these days.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is scheduled to arrive on January 22, 2013 in the US.
