It's once again time to choose your pre-order bonus by selecting a retailer. Retailer-specific pre-order incentives are quite common these days.
EA has announced the goodies you can receive by putting your deposit on the upcoming and hotly anticipated Dead Space 3 .
Pre-ordering at GameStop will get you the EG-900 SMG weapon, which was built for "urban warfare" and is "compact, but deadly." If you'd rather go with Amazon, you will get your hands on the Tesla Enervator gun, which causes "instantaneous electrocution and molecular destabilization." Furthermore, if you do decide to pre-order the game – regardless of the retailer – you will be automatically upgraded to the Limited Edition, which features a couple extra suits and weapons. If you've forgotten, Dead Space 3 drops in North America for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on February 5, 2013.

Maybe there is such a thing as too many games? I couldn't keep up with 2012 and 2013 seems to be twice as hard.
Gamer fatigue?
I'm thinking it's more like wallet fatigue than gamer fatigue(at least in my case).
I'd like it to come with an AI replacement character model so I can exchange my bulky mindless partner for some eye candy at least.
Bestbuy for me. $20 reward certificat ( gamer unlocked) , 2 suits, 2 weapons.

Has the US limited edition been announced yet? The UK one hasn't. If it is just weapons or costumes I won't feel the need, but extra levels, bonus art book (I pre-ordered DS1 and got a lovely little artbook for doing so.) or making of disc, I'm in.
Mind you, I'm not sure If I'll be getting this first thing with Ni No Kuni out January followed by Bioshock the next month, but it is a game I will be keeping on my radar as I have enjoyed the previous 2.
I employed some lovely coupons from Newegg to get $12 off both Ni No Kuni and Bioshock. Sorry Amazon.
I'll go for the post-launch bonus instead; 50% off. 🙂

I might wait for 60% off 🙂
Probably get the limited edition regardless. I got DS2, and Warfighter both EA games, both limited editions without pre-ordering. Lately this just seems like a way to get pre-orders up and possibly help first week sales.
EA wouldn't be the only one doing this practice either. That Nuketown 2025 code that people received for pre-ordering seemed to be available even to those that didn't pre-order. Again that situation applies to me.
Just buy all of them get the codes and return all but one! 🙂
god i hate it when retailers do preorder exclusives!
luckily here EB gets most of them, so it does not effect me too much.
why should i suffer just because a particular store is not in my area?
your suppose to be saying thank you for supporting us and buying our game, not f*ck you for not buying our game at x store.
this is for DS3 though, so no thanks.
sorry EA, but if i wanted gears of war id go buy gears of war!
actually scratch that, looks allot more like lost planet.
still, aint no dead space game thats for sure!
