It might seem a little late for downloadable content, but any excuse to put RAGE back in the limelight is worthwhile.
According to PS3Trophies.org , id Software may be ready to release DLC for last year's very excellent RAGE .
This content apparently involves a new mission called "The Scorchers," in which ten new Trophies can be earned. There's also the possibility that we'll get the extreme challenge of "Ultra Nightmare" difficulty as well, as one Trophy will be awarded to anyone who can complete the game on that level of insanity. RAGE deserves more content, even if it is already a year old; too many people overlooked the greatness of this game, and it's unfortunate that the developers didn't push it harder more with DLC.
For those who think it was nothing more than a pretty tech display…well, they're wrong. That's the only thing I can think to say.
Related Game(s): RAGE
Well at least this sounds like DLC they've worked on. I at least respect them in giving DLC which wasn't made during the pre-release of the game unlike most DLC this generation…
I just started RAGE. A trully enjoyable experience with [now] a budget price
hehe Rage has been budget priced since a couple months from it's launch =p
Yeah Temjin is right, this game dropped very fast in price.
Generally speaking there really is a lot to save on holding back just a few months before you purchase a game.
Maybe in the US. In Mexico the prices don't drop as fast as we would like.
A new game is about 75USD… and in a couple of months the price drops to around 60USD, the next price drop is around 18 months later
This is a fantastic game, and this would be all the excuse I need to pop it in again. I'm going to have to get it back from one of the many people I loaned it to. (I couldn't keep a great game like this to myself!)
Strange. I had the game and loved it, but the DLC seems too late for me since I would be required to purchase the game again.
I've been trying to play Rage but other games like AC3 and AC Revelations (haha yes, I'm playing them together) are distracting me from it. Rage is an awesome game though. And I even have Halo 4 sitting on my stack, showed up in the mail the other day, to be played right behind AC3.

Suppose it's to garner a little more interest in the game? Maybe a sequel in the works?
from what i played in the demo, it felt like a better graphic'd borderlands. Thats pretty much all it is right?
Not even close. It's a shooter, but that's where the similarities end. It's more in the vein of Quake and Doom (it is an iD production, after all) than Borderlands. Possibly the best graphical achievement yet, too.
YAY!! Wrong indeed, no tech demo can be that fulfilling. Unfortunately I can't jump on this DLC until I can get back online with steam. Naturally it just doesn't want to log on, so it might be a while.
Either way this might be the first DLC I go for!
Cool, I loved the game & I still have my Anarchy Edition.
It's a shame that they actually cut the Scorcher's out of the original game (for reasons I don't know), but if the price is right, like $4.99, I'll be all over it.
Rage was good, but I am glad I waited till it was cheap.
What a surprise!! Last week i bougth this game. u can find it for only $12.
Very glad to hear this! I bought it for $10 and haven't had a chance to play it yet. Hopefully the DLC is priced right.
This dlc would add a decent alternative ending?
good timing, steam just had it on sale for 5 bucks!
steam is such a MASSIVE rip off, but when they want to they can have a real sale!
one thing that pisses me off though.
RAGE retail 40 bucks, steam 5!
skyrim retail 50 bucks, steam 68.
some games they masssively discount in sales, others there still more expensive than retailers!
From where did you pull all those inaccurate prices?
EB and steam.
Finally, I love the enemy AI in this game. Lot's of fun. At this budget price, you get your money's worth 🙂
