Give Thanks In PlayStation Home

It has become traditional for PlayStation Home to "dress up" for the holidays.

In addition to detailing the latest Home update over at the PlayStation Blog , we also learn that the virtual community space will play host to a Thanksgiving theme.

Starting Wednesday, November 14 (yes, that's tomorrow), the festivities will begin. It's autumn and although the leaves are basically gone by now, they'll still be in vibrant display in Home. In Pier Park, the fall theme should be beautiful, and they'll even have a Witch Hunt mini-game. As for the Thanksgiving feast, the community will have to work together to produce a banquet worthy of Home; your team must race to collect the requisite ingredients in time, and your goal is to make the table look like this (check the picture).

The update also includes new sustainable building options for Home Tycoon, the debut of PanthaBots, and the release of new raver items by Konami. If you haven't visited Home in a while, now's probably the time.

I never really cared much for Playstation Home, it's been well over a year since I've been on. Shame too, because it looks like they added a lot of really neat features during that year. I might have to jump back on and see how it's changed.

Yeah, someone from one of those incredibly insightful online gaming sites like NeoGAF is here. Let the immature acronyms commence!

Home is very underrated application/service/game. I mean seriously, there are so many ways to enjoy it, so many ways to pass time with friends, games, 'stuff' to buy, virtual environments to enjoy with friends, even RPGs for your avatar to play.

I guess it will always be one of those things that some find fashionable to hate, kind of like the PS3, PSP, Vita and Sony themselves. Don't you just love internet enabled irrational and baseless hatred?

… Or Apple, Microsoft, Xbox, PC gamers, x86, mobile games, Android, iOs, Windows, country music, techno, rap artists, Hollywood, politicians, corporations, religions, countries, hairstyles, lifestyles…

I mean, it's not like irrational and baseless hate is exclusive to Sonys products. It's how we are. Only the targets shift.

Unfortunately.

That is the way of the disembodied collective ignorance, anger, fear, hatred and stupidity of a million immature voices united through the power of the Internet – aka the Eye of Moron….

Or maybe we're the ones that don't fit in our perfect society? 🙂

I resent that Beam, none of my hate is baseless 🙂

Haha 🙂
I don't think any of us, myself included, should sit on any high horse and imagine we are without our moments of irrational hate and unfounded outbursts. It's only a question of topic.
We too are humans, after all. Fine species, yes, gorgeous even, but still human.

Yeah, Beam, some of those entities have gone to great effort to earn our disdain. It wouldn't be polite to withhold it.

Also, I've never liked the use of "human" as a perjorative. I guess I've read too much Frank Herbert.

Fane, *all* of those entities has earned their disdain. Including Sony. It really is just a question of point of view.
Likewise, the hate on the level Highlander speak of here is unwarranted in each case. It's just business, plain and simple.

I've never read Frank Herbert though, so I didn't get that reference. 🙂

I hate the new layout in Home. Ever since the huge update that changed everything from the original square/central where i can walk to every part and now have to select the "room" where i want to go from the psp, nay some stupid PDA, nay now its what just the regular menu…bah.
