Okay, so now Silent Hill: Downpour will work a little better. Or a lot better.
Last month, Konami released a much-needed patch for the Xbox 360 version of Vatra's survival/horror thriller, and now that patch is available for download on the PlayStation 3.
The game launched back in March to marginal critical acclaim; most agreed that it was fitfully creepy and presented the player with a freaky setting and style, but the technical drawbacks were just disappointing. This patch will work to address some of the more glaring issues:
Konami made a point of saying the patch included "but wasn't limited to" what you see above. Therefore, Downpour could be considerably better after this patch is installed, so you might want to check it out if you're a horror fan. Might find it cheap.

Still love this game, i'll replay it now that its been fixed. Already have the platinum though
Oh thank God, I was thinking of playing this again. I was fine on my first playthrough because I played on easy, but on the normal difficulty everything falls apart because when you get numerous enemies on screen the frame rate doesn't even bother to creep it just cuts out.
That's cool this is a game that's been sitting on my shelf I was thinking of playing through soon. Perfect timing!
was there an issue with not being able to invert the Y axis on this game?
Thankfully no.
ahhh…. im thinking of Homecoming.
one game i really want to go back too eventually.
same with ridge racer unbounded, that was so much fun!
this looked really good though, i was really shocked and happy to see the old survival horror mechanics are still very much in tact!
its a shame konami are not the publishing juggernaut they were once though.
i wish $ony would buy them out, and do a full high budget silent hill!
so much potential in homecoming just sadly felt held back by time and cash constraints.
Interesting, I only bought this recently and have yet to play it, seems like a good thing I waited 🙂 – I got it for 1/4 price of it's original retail price too! While I am not expecting the quality of SH 1-4 it can't be worse than Homecoming… it's just not possible.
I think it's better, but the combat doesn't try to be dynamic this time. It's more slow wacking like the old days.
Nice once cod start losing steam i ll get it for sure .
