Take-Two: Expect “Interesting Stuff” For GTAV Multiplayer And DLC

We know Grand Theft Auto V is set for Spring 2013, but maybe it's too early to talk about multiplayer and DLC details.

During a recent investor call , Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said it's just "way too early" to discuss downloadable content for the hotly anticipated title. This was in answer to a question concerning "digital content" for GTAV. Said Zelnick:

"I think you can safely assume that Rockstar, as the label that led the charge in downloadable content with Grand Theft Auto 4, I think you'd have every reason to believe, purely because of the ground-breaking nature of the title itself and the multiplayer in the title, that there's going to be a lot of interesting stuff. But I'll leave that to Rockstar to announce."

You can expect to see more general information unveiled next week, as November is the month for a full unveiling (the one we've all been waiting for). As for DLC and multiplayer, yeah, we can wait.

What else will Microsoft have under their belt if they don't have timed exclusive dlc?

That is my concern exactly. It was painful waiting for TLAD and TBOGT to come to the PS3. They were quite enjoyable when we finally got them.

i just hope this time the DLC is much closer to release.
as they said before they waited FAR too long to bring the DLC along.
DLC needs to be released within 3 months of a games release, any further than that might as well forget it people have already stopped playing the game and probably traded it in by then.
not to mention moved on to other titles.

I'm wondering what R* are thinking about doing for online multiplayer in GTAV. After the lackluster attempt at MP that came with GTAIV they must be thinking about bulking it up, like just about every game maker out there these days. If they do go that route, I hope it doesn't take away from the SP DLC additions. I really enjoyed the "Stories from Liberty City", even though they were grossly delayed for the PS3.
