Ben-DutkaIt's time to put another classic GTA on the PlayStation Store, don't you think?
As spotted by GameSpot , the ESRB has issued a new rating for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas , which released back in 2004. They also rated Grand Theft Auto: Vice City , which preceded San Andreas.
Typically, this means the games will go downloadable on the PSN in the near future. The ESRB isn't really in the habit of providing new ratings for old games unless those titles are slated to return to the marketplace in some form. And it'll be great to see both of these GTA installments available, because a lot of people still believe they were the best the series has to offer. GTAIV went in a slightly different direction, losing some of that arcade-y insanity from the previous generation. And besides, let's not forget that these games were very large, so they'd probably be a tremendous value.
Hey, maybe we'll get the GTAV release date and the official confirmation of Vice City and San Andreas for the PSN at the same time!

ahhh, VC and SA! I was always hoped that SA would come out for the Vita, but the PSN is good enough.

I've still got my copy but never felt it was a good idea to go back and play outdated sandbox in favor of updated sandbox.
Have to disagree there, I have played through Vice City Multiple times, as for GTA IV I felt tired of it beyond the first island.
I'd like to see them add HD & trophy support.
I doubt it will happen, but hopefully they'll make a updated Bluray collection later on.

That aside, I agree with your comment, I hope that the graphics get a little improvement, so at least it looks like it does on the PC.
Yeah, this is something which has been happening on the site recent – one chap had a checkerboard the size of the whole page. I think it has something to do with people using mobiles…

these games are still the pinnacle of open world games. this gens saints row is probably the best comparison but saints ain't got nothing on VC and SA. NOTHING.
I loved the 80's soundtrack of VC and the 90's soundtrack of SA
Nice! I break out the disc versions on the PS2 on a regular basis. I hope it's a huge hit. Can't miss on a GTA title.
one think that ill never understand about R*.
they go through the effort to give a update to max payne, GTA 3, and just announced a update for vice city, for mobile platforms.
but they wont do updates for consoles, they just do a crappy port over.
