Assassin’s Creed III Breaks Pre-Order Records For Ubisoft

This probably won't come as any huge surprise.

Today, Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed III has become the most pre-ordered title in the company's long history. So congrats!

Total pre-orders have doubled that of last year's Assassin's Creed: Revelations , which was the previous record-holder for Ubisoft, and deposits at GameStop for the hotly anticipated title are also 100% higher than last year. After earning more than 40 awards since its announcement (including Best Action Game at E3 from Game Informer and IGN), Assassin's Creed III is ready to launch on Tuesday, October 30. Also don't forget that plenty of "high-quality DLC" will be available, including those Benedict Arnold missions that will be (thus far) exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version of the game.

Oh yes I do! So can't wait till Tuesday. Just wish that I could afford the extra special deal. Having that Conner figurine would be a nice collection for my other Cole figurine.

Have it pre-ordered AND I have the off from work on Wednsday. I'm going to tear that game up.

Didn't like the first two so I gave up on it, if this new direction has a better fighting mechanic, more reasonable AI, and better controls I'll likely give it a chance at some point around the GOTY version with all DLC. I'll be reading reviews.

Ahh, I see. I've been hooked since the first cinematic for AC 1. Hope this next one is great so you can enjoy it as well.

*Slightly off topic* Does anybody know if this is in 3D?

Judging from this boxart:

I'd say yes. But on the other editions it does not say whether it does or doesn't. Either way, I'd put my money on it having 3-D.

They haven't said anything about it, but it does say so on the box art. I personally don't have a 3D tv so I can't take advantage of it, but I'm sure it will look amazing either way.
