Max Payne 3 Hostage Negotiation Pack Set For October 30

The Hostage Negotiation downloadable content pack for Max Payne 3 was supposed to be here in September.

But that didn't happen and earlier this month, we learned that it had been delayed, although we could expect a new date "very soon." Most assumed we'd get it at the end of October, and that's exactly right.

As confirmed at Rockstar's official website , that Hostage Negotiation Pack will be ready to go on October 30 for all platforms. This add-on features four new multiplayer maps along with two new rifles, an Explosive Burst booby trap, a new avatar faction, and a few additional cosmetic goodies. The DLC will retail for $9.99 (or 800 Microsoft Points). Pretty standard pricing these days.

I'm just wondering how many people are still playing this game. It launched back in May and it's not exactly a super long title, nor is it the kind of game that demands constant multiplayer attention. But maybe some gamers really took to it; that online action really is pretty refreshing, after all.

I never touched the online. How do you do a hostage negotiation when it's all about shooting people?

Maybe it was the DLC itself that was under hostage negotiations.
