Ben-DutkaFor the most part, Collector's Editions are designed for hardcore gamers and specifically, big fans of the game or franchise in question.
So it makes perfect sense to ask the fans what they'd want to see in such a collection, right? Maybe more developers and publishers will start doing this, because we get the feeling gamers are gonna like the idea.
In a brief note earlier today, Deep Silver revealed that it'll be asking gamers what they want included in a Dead Island Riptide Collector's Edition. And as PR boss Aubrey Norris said:
"But we want the community to decide what goes in it! Not just like some "LOL HERE'S SOME SHIT THAT WAS LYING AROUND IN OUR ORIFICE" thing, you know?"
HA. So if you'd like to vote on the contents of this special package, go right ahead . There are some really bizarre/awesome options like Dead Island -branded pillowcases, an inflatable axe, Zombie arm bottle opener, and various figurines. This could end up being one of the coolest Collector's Editions ever . The fans won't screw this up.
