Various editions of the game, including a variety of extra bonus items, will be available everywhere. But there's going to be one very rare item that could be very tough to obtain…
Firstly, as detailed at Game Podunk , it's apparently exclusive to retailer Best Buy. Secondly, you'll have to attend a midnight launch for the game, and you'll only have a shot if your local Best Buy even has the coins go hand out…and even if they do have them, they'll have no more than 20. Thirdly and lastly, we don't know much about the coin at all.
No, it isn't the same medallion that comes with the Join or Die Edition, so maybe it's something super special. Use the Best Buy locator to determine which of the stores will have the coins. Good luck!
im almost tempted to go to this. pretty sure my best buy will have the coins. dont think i want to sit in the cold just to get this coin that could really not be worth a whole lot. i really want the steel book that comes with my amazon order. i would love to have that flag in the special edition and the statue looks really cool also.
i really just want to play the damn game already.
What can we buy with it?
Not worth the trouble. Im a AC fanboy true and true but there is a line…and in this case im not waiting in or crossing it.

How do you have any idea if it's worth the trouble? We don't even know what it does (if anything).
Oh… I thought you might be talking about some sort of change in the in-game economy system. In the late game for the ACII games, I ended up rolling in a lot more dough than I had any use for, so I hope they're doing some revisions on how that works.
Not too interested in the real coin, myself but hey, knock yourselves out, collector-types!

Very cool for my fellow AC fanboys that just have to have something like this. I however do not and already have my ACIII, SP and ACIIIL preordered on the PSN. 10/30 please HURRY!!!!
At first I thought it was going to be a rare item to find in the game.
I'd much rather just have the game.

I'm pretty sure that these will be on eBay for a few hundred (if not thousand) bucks on day one. Crazy collectors will be giving kidneys away for one of these hehe.
Anyway, I'll be getting whatever edition my local GAME store gets. I really just want the game, and any in-game goodies that come with it. 🙂
