Publishers have taken to teasing significant announcements via social media, which means we gotta keep a close eye on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Check out the following Facebook page , for instance: Ubisoft is teasing a "big announcement" related to the critically acclaimed Splinter Cell franchise. Apparently, the sooner a certain number of people "Like" the teaser image, the sooner they'll spill the beans. Or something like that.
The most common rumor involves a Splinter Cell movie, as Ubisoft has evidently been in contact with Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures to get the deal done. So maybe the deal is done and we'll see Sam Fisher on the big screen. We already know about the new entry in the series, Splinter Cell: Blacklist , which is scheduled to hit next spring for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It seems unlikely this "big announcement" has anything to do with that, but you never know.
We're getting a Metal Gear film, right? So why not make a Splinter Cell movie, too? Nothin' wrong with that.
Probably just a new trailer.
Hmmm, I've been reading Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell from 2004 right now(although someone else wrote it, Davis Michaels)
Why was I under the impression that Blacklist was another 360 exclusive? Maybe the announcement will be that Conviction will be ported over…
if theres one game that would transfer well over to the silver screen it would be this!
as long as ubi has a final say in the actors and script of course.
they were showing this off over the weekend god it looks f*cking awesome!
so happy to see allot of the old gadgets back!
There no reason that Conviction hasn't been ported by now to the ps3?
