It's important to get the chronology and details right about this:
EA's NBA Live franchise hasn't been around for several years. Originally, they had planned to reboot the series by releasing NBA Elite , but that sputtered and died. Then we heard that Live would return in the form of NBA Live 13 , but it would be a downloadable title and it would arrive in early October.
But in the latest unfortunate update for basketball fans, NBA Live 13 has been delayed . There's no new launch date but at least we got a fresh trailer, which is basically the developer's way of saying, "It really is coming, we swear." Well, maybe this will tide you over. Bear in mind that this year's NBA season is slated to begin on October 30 and NBA 2K13 is set for October 2…
Related Game(s): NBA Live 13
yeaaaaaaaa, NBA 2K13's gonna beat it. 2k's got this locked down, and their new title looks as amazing as always. EA Sports doesn't stand a chance.
lol at NBA Live 13… At least they're going to try, but obviously me and most other people are going to buy NBA2K13.
Sn: I'll buy live if it's coming for PSVita though.
That looks so terrible…EA Sports needs to stop..NBA 2K13 is where real basketball happens..They should stick with football games..
I was hoping to go back to NBA Live this Christmas(honestly the only people who hated on NBA Live 10 were the 2k fanboys). I like the 2k games but I believe the fans way overrate that game.
In NBA 2k12 players lose the ball without anyone bumping into them, passing the ball to either corner is an adventure half the time, defenders who are not looking at you must have spider sense because they always raise their arm just in time to bat the pass away causing a turnover. Even on fast breaks unless you got more than few steps ahead of the CPU it catches up to you either altering the shot or fouling. And moving around the court is almost robotic.
With all that said I still like 2k12 because it's basketball and its core it's a fun game. The only thing 2k has over NBA Live especially the last time they actually went head to head is the player models.
As for the NBA Live series EA should had kept on building what NBA Live 10 did well instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with NBA Elite. To the trailer it's ok not great or anything like that, uniforms need to be fixed tho.
I have to disagree with you on a few points. I was a diehard Live fanboy for the longest of times. Up until Live 08 when things started going downhill. In 2k players don't mysteriously lose the ball, you just can't expect to hold the turbo button and run behind somebody as if the ball isn't going to touch them. You can't make dumb passes on 2k b/c the computer plays the passing lanes well. I've never been on a fastbreak and had the computer run up behind me and cause me to alter the shot or get fouled either..
Movement on 2k is actually very fluid and realistic. 2k is the more realistic franchise..Live lost a lot of people due to gameplay more than anything..
