Die-Hard Tekken Fans Can Earn A Free Tattoo Tomorrow

Hardcore fans do the craziest things. But only to the outsiders is it crazy; to those dedicated followers, it's perfectly natural.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is on store shelves in North America and is set to launch tomorrow in Europe. And to celebrate that imminent launch, publisher Namco Bandai has teamed up with the world famous Frith St. Tattoo studio in Soho, London to offer the aforementioned fans a free Tekken -inspired tattoo. All they have to do is show up with a copy of the game, and they'll get inked. …but they're gonna have to be quick about it.

The press release calls this a "videogame first" but there is a caveat: You have to be one of the first five people to come to the tattoo parlor with a copy of the game, and the work can't cost more than £300. The good news is that you do have a choice of images, and you won't be inked that day; just book your appointment for a later date. Artists for the game will be around, too. Said UK Namco Bandai Partners Marketing Director Lee Kirton:

"It’s exciting to be working with The Frith St. Tattoo studio – they are one of the best in the business and will provide the highest quality TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 tattoos. The characters in the game have been intricately designed so the 5 lucky dedicated fans will get themselves a fantastic tattoo that would normally cost hundreds."

The Frith St. Studio is home to several award-winning artists such as Emiliano, Miles, Steward, Valerie, Stefano and Jordan, who all produce "premium tattoos." So if you're in the London area and you want to prove your faithfulness to the esteemed Tekken series, you had best get up early tomorrow. Like, really, really early.

That's insane. The headline made me think you could put a tattoo on your in-game character. I love certain games but that sh*t is permanent!

One of the many differences I noticed in my trips over the pond is that tatoos are really comon among the Brits. Tatoos are to them pretty much like baseball caps are to Americans. But yeah, you can change a baseball cap whenever you want, but a tatoo?…not so much.

I know we got one guy on here with a Final Fantasy VIII tattoo. I've wanted a lot of things over the years but then I just give it time and that urge goes away, so my canvas remains blank.

First 5?! lol Why not just say "hey dont come because they are gone", why even bother?

On a side note, I would go for a free tattoo. Maybe the King of Fighters Tournament logo on my butt or something haha.

I have a bunch of tats but damned if I'd get one of these, even if it was free.

World,
Ha, no dog tats.
Just a huge flaming skull, the number "13", an FTW tat & my nickname "Saint" with a halo crowning it, and a pitchfork on both ends of my nick'

PoopsMcGee,

Nahh it's only a pic of a demon possessed dog with a Draino filled syringe that I found years & years ago, & I've liked it every since.

The next-to-last dogs I had were 3 Afghan hounds(a greyish brindle that looked just like Whiley E. Coyote, plus another peach, & a blonde), but due to a change in jobs, I wound up not having all that extra time needed to groom them a couple times a day, so I gave them to good homes.

My last dog was a blue-eyed(completely deaf) Liver Spotted Dalmation(all brown spots)which I had till he died of old age.

Once I moved into my apartment, they didn't allow dogs or cats, so I bought a baby Nile Monitor Lizard which I raised till he was a 6 bit over foot long.
He also died of old age, but he remained mean & nasty to me until the very end.
