Borderlands 2 Mechromancer DLC Rarin’ To Go On October 16

Dude, the Mechromancer. Even the name sounds totally completely bad-ass awesome.

Borderlands 2 isn't quite here yet – it'll launch next week on September 18 in North America and three days later in Europe – but developer Gearbox Software has already announced that the first piece of downloadable content will be available on October 16.

That DLC will deliver the aforementioned Mechromancer and for you to sample this new intriguing class, you'll have to pony up the requisite $9.99. However, if you were smart enough to pre-order the game, you'll grab it for free. Also, there will be three more expansion add-on packs for the hotly anticipated title, so Gearbox will offer a DLC season pass to all those dedicated Borderlands 2 fans. You'll save yourself ten bucks by signing up; each piece of DLC will cost $10 and there will be four in total.

You're probably excited for the game and even though I didn't exactly love the first game, I'm looking forward to it. In fact, I'd be playing it right now if Tekken Tag Tournament 2 didn't require all my attention. Look to our Twitter page for possible early impressions of Borderlands 2 towards the end of the week…

I don't know why, but that name keeps making me think of some kind of Dead Space Necromorph's semi-robotic love child, with 17 pairs of lips.

(OK, I guess me having a weird sense of humor doesn't hurt either)

actually really looking forward to this!
exactly what the doctor ordered to cure my severe stern german ites!
and yes, that is a condition………
so sick of every game this gen being so serious, oh we cant do that its FAR too unrealistic……
cant imagine the developers have ever put a whoopee cushion on the managers chair!
bout f*cking time we had a game that does not take itself seriously, its pure foot in mouth humor!
over the top stupid stylized action!
even the cartoony cell shading lends itself to the games silly nature.

that said though i just hope they have fixed all the issues with the original.
every time randy talks about this game its how much bigger and ambitious the game is, but he NEVER talks about what was fixed.
makes me wonder if the original spoilers with the original game are still there.
borderlands put me off for good simply because i could not do the f*cking mission!
your asked to search things for parts to a certain item, but every time you search in a box your vulnerable to enemy attacks.
so you say ok ill kill everyone than search.
but oh wait theres infinite spawns, so 24/7 enemies are attacking you.
so how are you suppose to search for the required items?
either search for the items and die thus failing the mission, or ignore the items and just kill 1000000000000000000000000 enemies than another 1000000000000000000000 ect, ect, ect, thus never finishing the mission either.
oh, the serious bugs did not help either!
multiple times i got my save file corrupted!
thats gotta be a world record, ive never had a game that does it ONCE let alone multiple times in a row!

I'm not exactly sure how you caught German Ites, but being 1/2 German myself, I sure hope I can't catch it too.
