Borderlands 2 Mechromancer DLC Rarin’ To Go On October 16

Dude, the Mechromancer. Even the name sounds totally completely bad-ass awesome.

Borderlands 2 isn't quite here yet – it'll launch next week on September 18 in North America and three days later in Europe – but developer Gearbox Software has already announced that the first piece of downloadable content will be available on October 16.

That DLC will deliver the aforementioned Mechromancer and for you to sample this new intriguing class, you'll have to pony up the requisite $9.99. However, if you were smart enough to pre-order the game, you'll grab it for free. Also, there will be three more expansion add-on packs for the hotly anticipated title, so Gearbox will offer a DLC season pass to all those dedicated Borderlands 2 fans. You'll save yourself ten bucks by signing up; each piece of DLC will cost $10 and there will be four in total.

You're probably excited for the game and even though I didn't exactly love the first game, I'm looking forward to it. In fact, I'd be playing it right now if Tekken Tag Tournament 2 didn't require all my attention. Look to our Twitter page for possible early impressions of Borderlands 2 towards the end of the week…
