Sons Of Anarchy Creator Doubts Game “Will Ever Happen”

Sorry biker fans, this doesn't look possible right now.

Some time ago, it was revealed that "Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter was trying to bring a video game version of the popular FX show to the interactive entertainment market. At the time, he said it would be a full offering and not just a browser-based title.

But unfortunately, as Sutter recently Tweeted , the project appears to be going nowhere:

"Getting no traction on the [Sons of Anarchy] game. Looks like our big publisher blew us off. Not a priority at [television network] FX. I doubt it will happen."

That's a pretty quick turnaround as back in May, Sutter claimed to have a "great meeting with a big distributor" and that "everyone at FX and Fox is committed to making this happen." He also said that as a gamer, he wants to deliver a quality product but of course, that requires both a lot of time and a lot of money. And now, it appears that this particular title has hit a major roadblock.

I really don't know what this game would've been about, anyway. Racing? GTA-like? I'm also not sure how many gamers are fans of the TV show, or of the motorcycle culture in general. You never know, though.

I just finished watching every episode back to back last week, really enjoyed the show except for all the stuff filmed in Ireland. Americans trying to do Irish culture justice, bless em. lol

Don't know how the show would transfer to a game but maybe it could of been interesting? Maybe?

I freaking loved playing "Lost & the Damned" and have been waiting for some news about "Ride to Hell" from Deep Silver. Amazon shows it is going to be released on December 13. I just hope it's a decent game. I would definitely play some "SOA"

I know what it's like to have those meetings, you come out all stoked and then boom, nothing.

We shouldn't get too excited when unlikely games get announced too early because of this type of thing.

Bummer, I was hoping for a half-decent Biker game.

As for the show SOA, IMHO it was just OK, but the Canadian 2-season biker mini-series called "The Last Chapter" was 100% better.

For me, I'd love to see a video game franchise based on The Last Chapter mini-series.

I looked for The Last Chapter on HULU & Netflix but they don't have it yet dammit.

Fats,
I forgot all about this thread so I'm way late getting back to read your last post.

While surfing the net, I just happened to find "The Last Chapter" 6-disc set(DVD) on either eBay or Amazon,
and it looked real interesting so I bought the whole complete boxed set for about $25.

Hope that helps.
