Terminal Reality, Activision Prepping The Walking Dead Game

Well, if there was one television show that would probably make a very easy transition to the world of video games…

As reported by IGN , Activision has revealed that developer Terminal Reality is currently cranking away on the interactive iteration of the hit AMC TV series, "The Walking Dead."

Set in rural Georgia and revolving around brothers Daryl and Merle Dixon, players will make the dangerous trek to Atlanta in this FPS. The interesting part is that, perhaps similar to Dead Island , we'll have the option of taking these zombies head-on or going a little out of the way to avoid them. The designers will be implementing a survival-esque element, so managing available ammunition and rations of food will be crucial to success. By the way, Terminal Reality also made the well-received Ghostbusters: The Video Game , as well as both of the first two BloodRayne titles.

The Walking Dead is expected to hit store shelve next year for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Cool, after Jurassic Park (which was okay but not what I wanted) I don't really think Telltale's Walking Dead game is for me. Anything like Dead Island might be though.

I'm not sure were your irrational hate for Cell Shading comes from. But seriously, calm down dude.

The Telltale Game is just a wow factor!
They improved upon Jurassic Park's mechanics.
I finished Episode 2 and falling in love with the atmosphere, can't wait to see how they are going to tie the events Lee is going through with Rick Grime's group.

While cel shading can work in certain games, I to dont like it very much, it ruined Wind Waker for me, but again dont get me wrong, in some games it works very well.

Sounds like it could be good. Unlike anything Telltale games makes. Their games are terrible.

Cool, maybe it will give the RE series a run for its money, we'll have to see how it turns out ^^.

P.S, the original Dawn of the Dead rules, if you havent seen it, you should check it out.

how does this work, did Acti buy the rights to use the walking dead name only?
or did use their money to screw telltale games out of the whole game?
