Various European sources, such as PlayFront , are reporting a bad-ass special edition of the God of War Collection .
It's called the "Omega Edition" and it features a special Steelbook case along with new art and a totally sweet bronze statue of Kratos. Talk about a collectible! Of course, the collection also features the first two God of War titles reworked in high definition; if you didn't add it to your PS3 collection when it hit store shelves back in 2009, you're regretting it. You know you are. But wouldn't it be even better to have this thing in your library?
Word is the Omega Edition will be ready to go in November. Again, no official details so stay tuned for something more concrete.

Looking at the image, it looks like it comes with both collections (gow 1 and 2, and coo & gos) as well as gow3. Now that's what I call a collection.

I've never been a fan of collectible items that boost the price of a videogame but that looks like a pretty cool statue.
i agree with you @limitedvertigo, collectors editions always seem to contain a lot of stuff no one would want,
i would rather have a special edotion with map chest locations something that helps you find those annoying collectables, or even codes to unlock special limited avatars and dynamic themes, l would pay an extra tenner for that sort of stuff.
Why couldn't the GOW3 ultimate edition be as cool as this!? 🙁
The only statue I ever got was Cole with inFamous 2 Hero. He guards my books.

This is a great idea! I can't tell you how many people I know that want to play god of war but don't have a ps3.
If only they put CoO and GoS in there, that would be the perfect bundle.
Ha when I first read this I thought it was for Ascension and I was like "Wow they are already showing this?" Also explains why its availible in November not March lol… I am not sure that I will be getting this I mean the statue is awesome but I already have GOW1&2 HD and the CE of GOW3 so I don't know if I can afford to buy this when I am holding out for CEs of Beyond, The Last of Us, and GOW4. But if it isn't too pricey I might just have to get it.
seeing as how i have all god of war games, i would just like to get the asenscion collectors edition.
if it comes with all of the games i would def pick it up. i only have god of war 3 but i have played the collection of 1 and 2. havent gotten to ghost of sparta but i did play chains back in the day. that statue would look nice around the house with the drake and cole statues. hope it comes to the US

During E3, there was a Sony Press Conference only to Latin American journalists. Mark Stanley, SCEA Latin America GM, hosted it.
Among other announcements, exclusive for the region, Stanley talked about the Omega Collection:
+ Will be available on November 2012
+ Will have exclsuive content for Latin america not available for other regiones
+ Will contain the 5 GOW titles
+ Collectible Steelbook
+ The sculpture was created by an argentinian artist.
As long as I know, LA is the only region in which is confirmed Omega Collection right now
I hate GOW for one reason. Its way to badass to do anything wrong. I want to buy that even though I've downloaded the first two from PSN.
