But very soon – like, within hours – we might be getting our first glimpse of gameplay for the freshly revealed God of War: Ascension . …feel that? Those were goosebumps.
Sony will be hosting a Live Q&A Event for the hotly anticipated new game, and if you just so happen to be glued to your computer screen at 11 a.m. EST today, April 30, you can rush on over to Ustream and fix your greedy eyes on Kratos' latest adventure. Everyone is very interested to see how Sony Santa Monica and Ready at Dawn have fared thus far; chances are, the game won't be ready until next year, but they've obviously been working hard, yes? And we don't want the entire intro or something…just a peek at the action will suffice. Thanks.
We're also wondering how they'll explain the beginnings of one of our favorite PlayStation icons…

Whatever happens, i just hope fans arent dissapointed and start bashing for no reason. I'd hate to see that since it will hurt GoWIV.
They already explained Kratos' beginning.
Who knows maybe they'll have it like a flashback while Kratos is dying at the end of GoWIII. Of course I'm just throwing my two cents out there.

i really hope it really is the origin of kratos during the war with the barbarians before he begs ares for assistance and gets the blades.
i wonder if his brother will be in it too.
probably not considering what happens in GOW1, but id be cool if you could have a switch between the 2.
have levels played as kratos working his way up to the events of GOW1 and becoming the ghost of sparta, and have levels set playing as his brother doing whatever he was doing at the time.

GoWIV should be spectacular… now I need to pick up GoWIII to play through it myself before GOWIV comes out… eeergghhh!
Unfortunately I only got to experience GoWIII at a friends place and watched him play through a lot of the game. I took turns at playing it but I don't own the game myself yet 🙁

They announced multiplayer modes for the new God of War.
It looks pretty interesting. You pledge allegiance to a God at the beginning and that dictates your magic, as well as strength and weaknesses. Its 4 vs 4 combat where the goal is to take out a giant monster thats around the battle field. Personally it looks rather awesome. But like all SP games that get MP added to them I hope it doesn't affect the SP game. You level up and can customize your characters weapons and armour as well. Making your character unique looking.
