Well, according to a new Nielsen report , the two most anticipated titles of the year are Halo 4 and Assassin's Creed III .
Nielsen combined eight key consumer metrics such as awareness and purchase interest to arrive at these results, and the reaction from gamers and consumers probably won't shock anyone. Halo 4 might end up being the biggest title of the year if Grand Theft Auto V doesn't make it, but it's important to note that this year's Call of Duty hasn't been officially announced yet and hence wasn't part of this poll.
Here are the most anticipated PS3 titles:
Firstly, Bioshock Infinite needs to be a lot higher. Come on, get with the program, people. It's nice to see Max Payne 3 sitting at #2, though, because that's going to rule . However, it's a little depressing to note that for the first time since the console's inception, there doesn't appear to be a potentially dominant PS3 exclusive for the year…
What about The Last Of Us? And yes, Ben, I agree about Infinite should be far higher than Madden… and every other game on that list.
Infinite and The Last Of Us are my two most anticipated games personally.
The Last Of Us has a tentative date of 12/31/12, which means it probably won't come out this year.
Interesting that DMC didn't make their list.
Didn't DMC4 draw in around 3-4 million in sales?
Is the reboot expected to fall well short of that or something?

Yup, minus the sports games, that looks like my list. That should round me out to 20 MORE F&#^@$ GAMES TO CATCH UP ON!!!
Awesome to see Max sitting at #2 and Im happy to see Tomb Raider considering we havent seen anything since E3. I'll be buying a majority of those titles. I wish Hitman Absolution would of made the list.
I forgot to add it of would been really cool to see Ni No Kuni at the bottom of the list at least. Overall the list is a nice mix.

True, but if ND knows what's good for it, they should push to get it out this year. With this generation winding down, the iron is as hot as it's ever been (with Uncharted's growing success) to strike once more to set the stage for TLOF sequels on PS4 as well as Uncharted 4.
Although I don't want Druckmann and co. to rush this game by any means necessary, the producer inside me wants to see this game come out before the beginning of 2013 just so a great company like ND can make as much money as possible because they really do deserve it. T
There's only 3 or 4 on that list that holds any interest for me 🙁
i think its safe to say blops II will top the list when its announced
id swap the first 2, MP3 1st, AC3 2nd and bioshock infinite 3rd.
however i honestly cant believe Madden NFL 13, Resident Evil 6, Medal of Honor Warfighter, NCAA Football 13, Prototype 2 (PROTOTYPE 2!? REALLY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?), Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, NBA Live 13 are in there!
not saying they will be bad games, most look awesome, but come on out of all games this year there included in the top 11 games!?

i really really REALLY hope prototype 2 turns out good!
but 50 bucks says it wont, and 600 million bucks says its certainly not the 7th most anticipated title this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't get the Prototype 2 either. I played through the first one but I'm sure as hell not looking forward to playing the second one. Hell it never even enters my train of thought for new games.
This list is rather meaningless. I say that b/c nobody in their right mind is waiting in anticipation of NBA Live 13. In the hoops world 2k dominates..I'm not big on the Bioshock series. But what I've seen, Infinite should be a lot higher as well.
That being said..I'm also surprised by the lack of an exclusive..but at the moment I can't think of an exclusive that's coming out other than Sorcery..
There is only 2 games I'm really waiting for this year and that's Darksiders II and Bioshock: Infinite. There are other games I'd like to play but those 2 will most likely be the only D1P this year for me.
Well I am buying Disgea 3 D1 for my Vita so that makes 3 games then. I may also buy Ghost Recon D1 depending on how much I enjoy the Beta next week.
