I'm actually afraid to guess.
Square Enix has opened a teaser site that features a one-minute video and the words, "Secret Title 2012 Summer." No idea what it could be, but Andriasang did some translating and we know the word "Crystal" is in there (obviously), and a few familiar Summon names (Odin, Titan, and Diablos).
Check it out and see if you can come up with some ideas.
The animations are being handled by Masaki Hirooka and Yusuke Naora and details should be revealed "soon." Now, let me see…usually, those summons are only in the realm of Final Fantasy . Odin and Titan are common; Diablos was in FFVIII. And for some reason, I'm getting a distinct Final Fantasy Tactics vibe from that artwork…so maybe it's a brand new Tactics title for the Vita.
That'd be something, wouldn't it? …but I'm being way too optimistic again, aren't I? Yeah, I know.
Nomura: Hey..Guys? I kinda want to release Versus XIII…
Wada & Kitase: NO!
Nomura: Ok…
Stop making me laugh in the office…

Looks like a trailer for a proper sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics. The music is a dead give away to me.
Please be right…

Crystal Conquest
another new title that will more than likely be released before versus 13 and kh3 (if we ever get it) >.>

I hope it's not a tactics game, I'm tired of them. It's just the the Ivalice titles seem so seperate to the FF franchise. I'd be able to ignore them if they wouldn't bare the name Final Fantasy, but because they do, they gain my attention and leave me irritated.
Disagree 100%. The Ivalice games are by far the best.
Definitely among the best games of all time.
The story in FFT was the most well imagined, planned, and executed story of the entire FF franchise, in my opinion. The distaste from fan to fan is purely in the gameplay preferences. Legitimately, anyways.
I wouldn't put anything past SE…..a 3DS game?????

I need to have at least one killer rpg/srpg to rock my Vita. A Valkyria Chronicles or Persona entry would definitely do, too.
Good thing Persona 4 is confirmed for the Vita. Been really itching to get that!
Somethin worthless…
Watch it be for iOS…
C'mon, it's not too difficult. First, look at the site address: cc2012.square-enix.co…… Ok.. square-enix we know, we know the year it's announced is 2012.. so the important part is "cc". Okay, what other games in the franchise have that for their abbreviation?
It's a new entry into the Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles series.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (GameCube 2003)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates (DS 2007)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Wii 2008)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time (DS, Wii 2009)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord (Wii 2009)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers (Wii 2009)
The series also comprises a browser game, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King – Everyone's Kingdom, and a manga, titled Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles ~Hatenaki Sora no MukÅ ni~.
..and now, CC 2012.. an untitled project–aka
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: To-Be-Announced (2012)
Well deduced!
Tactics for Vita would actually be quite good to get sales up in Japan…and for us hardcore fans in the U.S/Europe.
It would definitely make me seriously consider a purchase.
Yeah i also get a FFT vibe from the music and artwork .
If its FFT2 i might get a Vita Afterall ( assuming it will be on it ) .

i hope its neir 2.
i actually really enjoyed that game!
for once a game actually from $E that feels like it came from them!
either that or id love to see them do a more japanese type of skyrim.
a open world game but no dragons and fantasy crap like that, keep it rooted in realism and have a visceral in depth combat system.
No dragons and fantasy crap…. but you still want a old squeenix style game…? Paradox much?
More realism? This is EXACTLY what japanese devs are doing wrong right now! Realism is a western dev thing.
One of the things I loved the most about japanese gamers, is that it didn't matter how real it was, they just wanted to make something badass.
The creator of FF7:AC:
"We didn't set out to create something that was realistic, we just wanted to make it look really cool"
Akuma, I'm with you all the way, pal.
And really. How realistic is the mega blast from Bahamut's mouth?
I just loved Adven Children. When swords clashed it had a sound of sheek and people leaping around from building to building sounded & looked amazing.
It's why I'm a bit confused if it's going to delay Versus. That game reflects the Final Fantasy finnesse of Advent Children in the best possible manner.
No realism. Just good ol imagination making magic happen =)
It would be nice if they could finish maybe one of the games we've actually been wanting.
This thing can come to PS3 or Vita or they can keep it.
IMO the quality went down on their games around the time the DS came out.
As far as I know they dont reuse soundtracks..and thats from FFXI…
Probably going open-battle now like "zelda", but with the looks and story of ivalice and FF characters. No more turn-based fighting.
I think it is FFV remake for portables. Because thise characters are very similar to ffv main characters, maybe i am wrong.
xDDDD "But I'm being too optimistic again. Aren't I" xD I remember that from the last Final Fantasy or Square comments, heated debate.
It also could be another Crystal Defenders game, but I am hoping for something related to the Tactics series myself.
some sort of cell phone game port or niche title
If it's a brand new FF tactics game, I'm going to have to pick up the Vita.
