Ben-DutkaWith Treyarch back in the driver's seat for this year's Call of Duty , maybe it made sense to expect a sequel to Black Ops .
And evidence has surfaced to support that theory. First, a Treyarch employee accidentally lists "Black Ops 2" on his resume (as outed by Joystiq ) and then, a French source found a listing for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" at Amazon France's website.
Both the LinkedIn resume and the Amazon listing have since been removed, but it may be too late. Activision recently confirmed we'd see a new Call of Duty installment in 2012 (no big shock there), and sequels have proven quite lucrative for this franchise. Just ask Infinity Ward. Besides, Black Ops set a whole bunch of sales records (before Modern Warfare 3 promptly broke them a year later), so a Black Ops follow-up would make perfect sense.
Personally, I'm just waiting for a new CoD engine. Seriously.

I want a new Engine for COD too but to be Honest….it wont happen this Gen for cod due to the fact that the people who created and mastered it are no longer with IW. Hopefully they have a seperate them working on a new Engine, but i doubt it. That new Engine everybody wants to see will be on what ever the Respawn DEVS are working on.
Haha ye possibly. Well the way i see activision is like Blackberry. Although i hope they don't end up like them. THe problem is lack of innovation because of strong sales. Except in BB's case they are finally realizing the problem with the lack of improvements hence why Apple and Google have taken over the market.

HAHA yea Ben same here. If they put in a new engine I just might consider jumping back into this franchise. Haven't jumped back officially since COD4.
The more popular this this franchise gets the more leaks we will see in the future its inevitable.
I liked Battlefield 3 but even COD Black Ops had a better storyline. There is still more to be told in the story and hopefully they can finally update MW3 graphics to better than Battlefield 3 graphics. I have no idea if they go with destruction of building and environments in SP and MP modes like Battlefield 3.
