Ben-DutkaThe Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences just loves Uncharted . Well, who doesn't?
The Academy released the full list of nominees for the Interactive Achievement Awards, and Naughty Dog's masterful Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception grabbed 12 nominations across 11 categories, including the illustrious Game of the Year.
Other top titles like Batman: Arkham City , The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim , Portal 2 , and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword were also well recognized. If you're wondering, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves snagged 15 nominations in 2010. We love to see Portal 2 getting a lot of love with 10 nominations, by the way, and L.A. Noire got 9.
…you know, I just realized that the PSX Extreme Game of the Year Awards so often fall in line with the AIAS, year in and year out. We're one of very few sources to pay appropriate homage to games like L.A. Noire , for example. Hmm…what's that say about us? Maybe we need to be more original, or something? 😉
Anyway, the 15th annual Interactive Achievement Awards will take place on Thursday, February 9 at the D.I.C.E. Summit in Las Vegas. Comedian Jay Mohr will once again host. Dude's funny.

All of the nominations are good this year, especially the ones for Naughty Dog. I also find it funny that both Nolan North and Richard McGonagle are being nominated for best voice actor. That just shows the high caliber of the voice acting in Uncharted.
Yhea… it really was the whole package that have made the Uncharted series what they are… superb!

AIAS are the real game of the year not spike
Indeed. Spike's GOTY show is more "show" then anything.
I finally got into U3 and while it's improved in many ways and totally top quality, I'm not really feelin it. I like that they took my advice on using the vertical combat of Dark Void and the swinging of Dante's Inferno, but I feel U3 is suffering from the same thing movies do, too much schitzo globe trotting action with a less plausible or coherent story. Less is more Drake. Carry on with The Last of Us and let Drake rest up I say.

Uncharted 3 was poor in comparison to uncharted 2.
Ended abruptly with unanswered questions.
Better than asscreed revelations though
