Well, after all, the team has another big project on their plate now.
Before Platinum games picked up Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance from Kojima Productions, one of their hot new titles was Anarchy Reigns , an intriguing blend of super fast action and multiplayer elements.
But the game hasn't been able to stay on target lately and today, Sega has confirmed that Anarchy Reigns has been delayed until July. Initially, it had a fall 2011 date, then it was pushed into January, and now we have to wait until Summer: July 3 in North America and three days later in Europe, to be exact. According to Sega West senior vice president of marketing Gary Knight, this postponement is for the sake of new features.
"Anarchy Reigns brings a new take to the brawler genre and we've decided to take a little more time to deliver the full knockout punch. I can't reveal much now, but it's something to do with scale. Let's just say traditional one on one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past."
So that post-apocalyptic world filled with black holes and giant demons is on hold for the time being. Now, about that Rising launch estimate…when can we have that, Platinum?
