Buy Saints Row: The Third PS3, Get Saints Row 2 Free

Why purchase the PlayStation 3 version of Saints Row: The Third over the Xbox 360 version?

Well, Sony and THQ have announced an arrangement that will essentially double your chaos-causing entertainment.

Anybody who purchases the PS3 edition of Volition's new open-world blockbuster and redeems the online pass within 90 days will receive a free digital copy of Saints Row 2 on the PlayStation Network. It'll be available starting next week to gamers all over North America. While we didn't think SR2 was quite as solid as The Third , which takes absolutely every concept to another level, both games are well worth playing. And besides, you're getting a title entirely for free ; what's there to complain about?

We keep wondering what Volition is going to do with Saints Row 4 . Is it even possible to get crazier?

Volition knows how to say sorry 🙂 What a great deal! I am loving SR3 and cannot stop playing. SR2, never played it but I saw my daughter in law play it and it looked great too. To bad EA doesn't do great things like this when they screw up on bonuses….cough..BF3..cough….1943…

"Volition knows how to say sorry" – what's the story here?

THQ and Sony promised PS3 owners exclusive content for SR3 and didn't deliver. So they are giving PS3 owners SR2 free to say sorry.

I already have SR2 so I can wait a bit to buy the Third. I really want to get at it but Skyrim dominates all right now.

Anybody know if you can import your character from 2 into 3?

No you can't. But you can create your character in the "initiation station" that is in the store and import that one into the game. So you got plenty time making a replica until you get the Third.

… And you MUST get it. It's the perfect sequel: The atmosphere from SR2 is intact, they just made every single component better. You name it, they improved it!
The only drawback that I've found so far is that you no longer walk up to the weapons cache and dresser in your flat, it's just a menu you can access wherever you are inside your crib. A minor detail? Sure is. It's the only annoyance I could find. That's how good sr3 is.

Guys, you MUST give The Third a chance.

If you enjoy coop storyline gaming this is THE coop game to get. The coop implementation is *flawless*, absolutely everything is thought of.
If you played SR2 coop: This time you can do *everything* including buying property regardless if you are the host or not. All collectibles are individual. There is *nothing* you have to be host or in single player to be able to get or do. The already perfect coop game got even better with The Third.

If you enjoy wacky humour this is the cathedral of wackyness. There is nothing like it. And NO, this is not GTA. This is Saints Row.
There are good laughs aplenty in this game, and it's all so over the top that most cartoons look bleak in comparison. It's silly, but in a good way.

Volition works so *incredibly* hard on this title.
You DESERVE Saints Row, and they deserve you too!

I'm excited to play it. It was between SR3 and skyrim. Well I mean it was between which one I'm getting first. My brother's and I decided on getting this first since we already have SR2 and loved it. Besides I'm still struggling through my first playthrough of oblivion. Well second really. I had a really good character the first time but the game glitched and got him stuck in a house so I had to start all over. -_-

See this why i love being apart of the Playstation gaming family. When was the last time somebody & microsoft did something like this? I think NEVER. There to busy wasting money fixing broken system after broken system. I'll be sure to pick up Saints Row 3 now.

Long. Live. Play
Playstation gamer 4 ever.
