John-ShepardWell, sports fans love season passes, so why shouldn't gamers?
We've already seen several big-name titles adopt the idea of a season pass (including Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception , Mortal Kombat , and Gears of War 3 ) and now, THQ's highly anticipated Saints Row: The Third joins in on the fun .
The Season Pass for Saints Row: The Third will feature three mission packs and a DLC outfit and vehicle pack for the famous vampire hunter, Nyte Blayde. The Blayde pack boasts outfits for Altar Boy and Bloody Canoness, and new skins for Nyte Blayde's car and Bloody Canoness' motorcycle. There are a total of three mission packs and they'll start dropping in January.
Now, if you fully expect to indulge in the vice-dominated world of Saints Row: The Third , you can save 15% by signing up for the Season Pass. The Pass will only cost you $20, which is significantly cheaper than what it would cost to buy all the DLC separately. It seems I'll have to get back to the game for the sake of the review, even if Skyrim keeps calling my name . Damn that game.

SR3 is going to be *the* main coop game for me and a friend for a very, very long time so any refill of content will be welcomed.
Plus, we can never have enough outfits. 🙂

A online Pass = a pass for me now.
I'll pick this up for thirty bucks or less now. I do not support this online pass garbage.
Did you even read the article? This is a deal for upcoming DLCs, not to play the game.

While this article is strictly on the season pass itself (which was given for free if you pre-ordered the game from thq.com, like me) the game also uses the online pass mechanism forced by thq.

I don't like this pass trend one tiny bit either. But I will have to make an exception for SR3. I've been waiting for this gem of a game since long before these darn passes were invented. 🙂
