Dead Island Patch Raises Level Cap, Offers Other Tweaks

You've been playing Dead Island like mad, but you're already maxed out…and that's just plain annoying, isn't it?

Well, as revealed at the game's official blog , developer Techland will release a new patch for consoles that raises the level cap in the open-world zombie-bashin' adventure to 60.

The patch also adds stability and interface alterations, along with several new features: weapon crates will now boast "improved rewards," kicking will now drain stamina (no abusing the kick, punk), and Purna can carry 50% more ammunition. Players will also be able to adjust enemy levels for different co-op players, the infected damage has been reduced, quest XP awards have been adjusted, players respawn with more health, and there are new blueprints for weapon mods.

Check the full list of upgrades and tweaks through the link above. Dead Island is definitely one of those games that brings fans back for more…but we're still wondering about that "Dead World" patent. What's up with that, Techland? Gonna spill the beans?
