Daxter And Wipeout Pulse Head To PS2

Continuing the recent tradition of PSP titles getting ported to the PS2 – Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters , for example – another pair should be making their way from the portable to the most popular console in video game history.

As translated by Google, European video game site HardGame2 has apparently confirmed that both Wipeout Pulse and Daxter are headed to the PS2 after enjoying fine launches on the PSP. The latter will arrive on July 25 while the former should become available on September 3, although we have to assume these are European release dates. Of course, we also have to assume that if Europe gets them, the US will get them as well, but we can't confirm that at this time. So far, the results of PSP games being ported to the PS2 have been hit and miss, although we suppose they've been worthwhile for the publishers. And in this case, we're talking about two of the finest PSP titles available, which is good news for PS2 owners. Yeah, we already have a ton of awesome games for the system, but we can always use two more!

We'll try to confirm this for the US, and in the meantime, we look forward to being able to play a top-notch platformer and a high-quality racer from the PSP on our televisions.
