Sony held a special Gamers Day for its Spanish fans this past Friday, showering them with playable demos from the company's PS2/PSP line-up as well as some of the same PS3 video footage shown at this year's E3.
Some of the tidbits from the event:
-The previous week, the PS2 had outsold the Xbox 360 10-to-1 in Europe.
-By the end of May, the Playstation Portable had reached the same number of shipped units globally as Nintendo's DS.
-God of War 2 was the most played PS2 game, while Loco Roco for the PSP stole the show.
-A few new/repeated PS3 details: Due to Blu-Ray costs game prices will likely go up (Xbox 360 titles currently top out at $60), reconfirmation of the PS3 as being fully backwards compatible with the PS2/PSOne, and the PSP will be able to connect to the PS3 in many different ways including multimedia, gaming, and use of the internet.
