Frank-ProvoSony Computer Entertainment and the Electronic Software Association have joined forces to release a budget-priced three-game collection for the PS2 this holiday season…. with proceeds going to the ESA Foundation, which distributes funds to worthwhile causes and organizations.
The ESA Charity Game Pack includes three games on one disc–ATV Offroad Fury 2 (from Sony), Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild (from THQ), and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 (from EA Games). Retail price for the pack is set at $19.99.
Many licensees waived their royalty and licensing fees for this charity effort, including American Honda Motor Company, Bombardier, CMB Design, EA, Kawasaki Motor Corp, Rainbow Studios, Shorewood Packaging, SCEA, Sony DADC and THQ.
"We are thrilled and gratified that so many in the video game community, including Sony Computer Entertainment America, Electronic Arts, and THQ, have come together to create this terrific limited-edition game pack that we hope will raise several million dollars for the ESA Foundation to donate to organizations working to improve the health, safety, and welfare of America's young people," said Douglas Lowenstein, president of the ESA.
