Katamari Damacy September 2004 Sales

Not shown on our recap of

for September 2004 was Namco's cute sticky-ball game, Katamari Damacy, which unfortunately failed to crack the top 20.

So how did it do? 19,114 copies were sold in September, netting Namco roughly $377,000 in revenue.

While these are lukewarm numbers, at best, we feel that the game's late release (Sept. 21) coupled with initial supply shortages hurt its initial sales, and that the October NPD will more accurately reflect current supply and demand.

Or if not, I'll just go insane and begin to think you people don't like good games. Er, umm, is this thing on?
