Kingsley, Loken Cast for Bloodrayne Movie

Director Uwe Boll believes strongly in game-to-movie adaptations. Boll recently directed "House of the Dead," based on the Sega video game, and the upcoming "Alone in the Dark," starring Christian Slater, Tara Reid, and Stephen Dorff.

Boll recently raised $47 million through his German film fund, Boll KG 4, much of which will be used to fund his latest project, a movie adaptation of Majesco's Bloodrayne.

Filming on "Bloodrayne" is set to begin later this month in Vancouver, and the production company, Brightlight Pictures, has just revealed who the stars will be.

Ben Kingsley, a.k.a. Ghandi, and known for his roles in "Schindler's List" and "Species" will play the lead villain.

On the other side of the coin, sexy Kristanna Loken, who knocked our socks off in Terminator 3, is set to play the title role of Bloodrayne, the do-good vampiress with a heart of rust.

The film takes place in 18th century Romania. The beautiful Rayne has a human mother and a vampire father, giving her superhuman strength, yet at the same time, allowing a softer, more vulnerable side to her personality. Still, she is driven by vengeance to overthrow her vampire father, who turns out to be the powerful and evil Kagan, King of the Vampires (played by Kingsley). Kagan wants nothing to do with his daughter and is intent on bringing her to doom. On her journey, Rayne is befriended by two vampire hunters. Together, the three must combat the great Kagan before he manipulates the earth into darkness, with vampires ruling forever.
